Do you have an idea for a new business or social enterprise that could benefit from a £5000 cash injection?

Enterprise Challenge Winners from 2018 with Vice-Chancellor, Professor David Maguire

The i3Centre have launched this year’s Enterprise Challenge competition which aims to find, nurture and fund new business or social enterprise ideas. You don’t need to have started a business to apply, at this stage we’re just looking for great ideas.

The competition is open to both current students and recent graduates of up to 12 months out (so if you graduated after December 2017 you are eligible to apply to this year’s competition).

You will be competing for a number of fantastic prizes which will be given out at the final pitching event on 28th March 2019. The winner will be awarded £5000 and the prestigious new title of ‘Greenwich Entrepreneur of the Year’, there’s a new £3000 prize ring-fenced for engineering graduates, and a range of runner up prizes from £2500 to £500 which includes a new ‘audience’s choice’ prize. Our 6 winners will receive a free professional qualification of their choice from the Institute of Digital Marketing, in addition to a cash prize.

All applicants will have access to free business support and mentoring to help them to develop a business plan.

The first application deadline is 7th December 2018, and for this you’ll need to submit a 2 minute video pitch outlining your idea along with a one page summary of your business – you can view full instructions here.

You can also get feedback on your idea prior to application by booking a free appointment with an enterprise advisor (Skype or face-to-face) – email  i3appointments@greenwich.ac.uk to book your slot.
