Memories of Greenwich 

Some of my fondest memories include going out on placements and seeing the reality of how rewarding being a nurse is and working alongside different specialities. I also cherish the long-lasting friendships I made and sharing the same experiences with others.

However, looking back I would say I miss most having the clinical skill sessions and being in the lecture theatre with my cohort such as child, mental health, LD and midwifery nurses.

I was able to use the theory learnt at Greenwich in my placements and understand how the body works in different ways. I was also able to understand the anatomy and physiology a lot better by going out on placement and into the theatre and seeing procedures performed up close.

Life after Greenwich 

Since completing my course, I have been working on the frontline and looking after patients who were tackling COVID, contributing to their recovery. I’ve also had the opportunity to work on numerous different wards to help out during critical times. However, my goal in the future is to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). I have started working towards this by shadowing fellow CNS when I get the opportunity.
