Volunteering for University of Greenwich

I worked as an ambassador of my subject for the first two years of my studies which was a massive role as I was the first point of contact for students interested in studying sports science at the University of Greenwich. I explained why I had chosen the subject and why I chose to study at Greenwich. My speech influenced some students who attended our open days as they joined the university to study sports science and I even became friends with a few. I also worked at the gym at the university which was great to socialise with students or individuals that used the gym. Students were happy I worked there as I was able to pass on the knowledge I gained from my subject for them to use whilst they were exercising.

Now that I have graduated and experienced life as a university student there were things I wish I knew during my time at university. So, I felt it was important for me to become a volunteer to pass on knowledge and to guide current students [in the right direction] so they do not make the same mistakes I did.
