Memories of Greenwich 

I graduated with a degree in Events Management at the London Centre for Events, Greenwich. It was while at Greenwich that I got the chance to work at the London 2012 Olympics, in transport logistics with University partner Jet Set Sports.

Alongside my studies I had the opportunity to work at many events both in London and in my home town, including the Greenwich Food Festival, Ideal Home Show, BBC Good Food Show, Southbank Food Festival and Ludlow Arts Festival. I have been lucky enough to plan events involving Jools Holland, Madness, Boyzone and Jessie J and enjoyed international travel with Gartner conferences including the flagship Gartner Symposium in Barcelona.

Life after Greenwich 

After graduating I enrolled in British Horseracing’s Graduate Development Programme, offering an immediate route into the workplace. In 2014 I became Event Manager at Epsom Downs Racecourse, the home of one of Britain’s largest sporting events, The Investec Derby Festival, before joining the Racing Department at The Jockey Club in 2017. The Jockey Club runs 14 venues across the country including Aintree, Cheltenham and Sandown Park. I am based at Exeter and Wincanton racecourses as Clerk of the Course.
